An alumnus returns as an administrator.
This new school year has brought many exciting changes with it. One of the most exciting is the return of Mr. Chet Blair as our new High School Dean. A graduate of the TCA class of 1991, he returns with nearly 20 years of teaching and leadership experience in private and public schools. With a heart for Christian education and a deep passion for shaping young minds, Mr. Blair brings a wealth of experience and a profound love for God’s Word.
Mr. Blair decided to return to TCA because he believes in the transformative power of Christian education. He sees our school as a place where students can not only excel academically but also grow in their faith. No matter the issues they face in their personal lives, God has a plan for them and is with them. His favorite passage, Jeremiah 29:11-13 reminds him and others that God’s plan unfolds as we seek Him with all our hearts.
When asked what advice he has for his students, Mr. Blair emphasized the importance of living in the moment while planning for the future. He explains, “If you're a teenager, enjoy it! Once it goes, you don't get it back. When you're 16, you think, ‘Ah, I can't wait until I'm 18 or 21.' Then once you get to 30, you don't do that anymore. You ask, where did the time go? You start to reflect. Enjoy the moment and have faith.” He encourages students to cherish these formative years and to trust God with their futures. Mr. Blair looks forward to guiding students in finding that balance, helping them live faithfully in the present while preparing for what God has in store.
Outside of school, Mr. Blair is a devoted family man. He and his wife, a health and physical education teacher, have three children. Kayla, their oldest, is completing medical school in Los Angeles, Breanna is a local fourth-grade teacher, and Trey is pursuing graduate studies.
As for his favorite athlete? No hesitation from him—it's Dr. J.
We are excited to see the leadership, wisdom, and servant’s heart Mr. Blair will bring to TCA. His passion for helping students grow academically and spiritually will surely bless our students as we continue to "learn, believe, and serve" together.
