Alumni Spotlight: Noah Gray ’23 – Faith, Family, and a Historic Season

TCA graduate Noah Gray (Class of 2023) has taken his passion for soccer and his walk with Christ to the next level at Grove City College, where he recently completed an extraordinary junior season. Noah was the valedictorian of his class at TCA, and he consistently modeled leadership both on the field and in the classroom.

Noah’s father, Bill Gray ’89, and his brother, Judah ’25, are both TCA graduates. His mother, Erin Gray, formerly taught high school math for many years. Perhaps most notably, Noah’s grandmother, Mrs. Anita Gray, faithfully served TCA in multiple roles and is best remembered for her years guiding the school as the K-12 principal. The legacy of the Gray family has been part of TCA’s identity for decades. From that foundation, Noah is building his own legacy.

Growth on the Field and Growth in Faith

Noah entered Grove City’s soccer program as a talented freshman, yet his first two seasons ended with heartbreak with back-to-back losses in the conference final and no NCAA tournament appearance. But those disappointments helped forge something deeper.

Between his freshman and sophomore seasons, the team embarked on a mission trip to Ecuador, stepping out of their comfort zones to serve and share the gospel. Noah credits that experience as a turning point: it strengthened relationships on the team and reshaped how they played for each other rather than for themselves.

During the summer of 2025, he worked alongside fellow TCA alumnus Brit Haseltine and the Del-Val Eagles soccer ministry. The summer re-centered his love for the game, shifting his focus from performance to purpose. He returned to campus intent on being a better teammate, honoring Christ through the way he plays, and growing bolder in sharing his faith.

Noah is quick to acknowledge the foundation laid by his TCA coaches, including Brit Haseltine, Andrew Gordon, Rod Haseltine, Colin Sareyka, and Jon Thompson, who helped instill in him not only skill but purpose. Noah said, “Having coaches that poured into me, not just as a player but as an individual, prepared me for both collegiate soccer and life.”

A Historic Season

The 2025 season became one for the record books. With a matured roster, stronger team culture, and a renewed spiritual focus, Grove City went 13-2-2, earned #1 seed in the PAC playoffs, where they defeated Geneva in the semifinal and Franciscan in the championship. The victory sent the Wolverines to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1980.

Noah’s individual impact was remarkable:

  • 14 goals and 7 assists (conference leader in both goals and points)

  • Two-time PAC Offensive Player of the Week

  • PAC Offensive Player of the Year

  • 1st Team All-PAC

  • 1st Team All-Region

  • 2nd Team All-America

  • Voted Team MVP by his teammates

Still, Noah views these achievements as team accomplishments. He expresses deep gratitude to his teammates for their support, sacrifice, and shared vision.

Family, Gratitude, and What’s Next

One of the highlights of the season for Noah has been playing alongside his younger brother, Judah, now a freshman on the team. He says he “can’t wait to share the field with him even more next year.”

Noah is also thankful for his parents, Bill and Erin Gray, whose sacrifices have shaped him both academically and athletically. He recognizes the ongoing gift of Christian education and the impact it continues to have on his life.

Off the field, Noah is excelling academically as a Biomedical Engineering major, set to graduate in 2027. His goal remains clear: to glorify God not only through the sport he loves, but through the life he is building.

Noah Gray’s journey reflects the heart of TCA’s mission—developing graduates who think critically, live faithfully, and impact the world for Christ.
