Senior Sir Guy Epps Jr. reaches the 1,000 point milestone

At The Christian Academy, basketball is more than just a game; it’s a platform for developing character, teamwork, and excellence. Reaching the 1,000-point milestone is a rare and commendable achievement, and over the years, several of our athletes have left their mark on our program by joining this elite group. On January 16th Sir Guy Epps Jr. became the 21st player in school history to reach this milestone. He is just the third student to reach 1,000 points since the year 2000.

Sir Guy’s accomplishment is a testament to his dedication, but it’s also a reminder of the supportive community around him—his teammates who push him to be better, his coaches who guide him, and his family who has cheered him on every step of the way. Currently 13th on the all-time Boys Varsity scoring list, Epps has a chance to crack the top ten before the season ends.

TCA basketball has long been built on a foundation of hard work, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence—qualities that Sir Guy has embodied throughout his career. His leadership and dedication on and off the court have not only set the standard for individual achievement but have also served as an inspiration for younger players in the program.

At TCA, sports are about more than just numbers on a stat sheet. They’re about character, perseverance, and honoring God with the gifts He has given. Sir Guy’s journey to 1,000 points reflects the heart of what it means to be a student-athlete at TCA: to learn, believe, and serve—on the court and beyond.

Congratulations, Sir Guy, on this incredible achievement! We can’t wait to see what the rest of your senior season holds.
