“Learn, Believe, Serve” for the Glory of Christ

Since its founding in 1951, the mission of TCA has been to provide a caring community where a challenging educational program, immersed in a biblical worldview, equips and inspires students to be servant leaders who impact the world for Jesus Christ. More recently, we have adopted “Learn, Believe, Serve” – a concise expression of that mission.

I’m excited to share ways in which TCA is providing our students with opportunities to excel in learning, growing in their faith, and serving Christ as an expression of that faith. 
 

LEARN:
Students are educated in a challenging academic curriculum and committed to life-long learning (Proverbs 1:7, 2:6, 22:6).

One of the ways TCA prepares students for success in college is through our dual enrollment program. As part of our high school curriculum, students have the opportunity to earn college credit while taking classes on our campus. Our dual enrollment partner is Cairn University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, a private Christian university formerly known as Philadelphia Biblical University.

While dual enrollment opportunities are becoming more common in high schools, students often need to travel to a community college or complete courses online. At TCA, our approved high school teachers serve as adjunct instructors for Cairn University. Students who earn an A or B in these courses receive college credit from Cairn that can be transferred to the college or university of their choice.

Entering college with earned college credits provides several advantages. Students are better prepared for the academic rigor of higher education, may fulfill general education requirements before arriving on campus, can potentially graduate earlier, and often enjoy greater flexibility in course scheduling and housing selection.

The courses we offer that are dually enrolled include:

BELIEVE: 

Students are disciples of Jesus Christ, able to rightly interpret and apply the Word of God, share the Gospel to a lost world, and defend their faith (Proverbs 22:6; John 3:16-17; II Timothy 2:15).

An essential part of developing biblical literacy is committing God's Word to memory. Our Scripture memory program spans every grade, from PreK-3 through 12th grade. Last year, our students collectively memorized more than 600 Bible verses—an incredible accomplishment and a testament to TCA’s dedication to learning God's Word.

Each year, our school community also unites around a theme verse that is incorporated into every classroom and serves as the foundation for our chapel services. Our theme verse for the 2026–2027 school year is Micah 6:8.

My hope and prayer for this year is that our whole community will keep this verse in the forefront of their minds, and that it will shape our relationships inside and outside of our school walls. The requirements of this verse are not easily achievable,  and I am thankful we have the example of Jesus Christ who exemplified these attributes throughout his life. 

This verse has held special meaning for me since I first heard it as lyrics to a song in my church youth group. Its message has stayed with me over the years, continually reminding me that authentic faith is expressed not only in what we believe, but also in how we live. I invite every parent and friend of TCA to memorize and meditate on Micah 6:8 with us throughout the coming school year.
 

SERVE:
Students are dedicated servants of Jesus Christ eager to serve their community by sharing the Gospel, making disciples, pursuing justice, and walking in humility (Galatians 5:22-23; Micah 6:8; Romans 12:10; Philippians 2:3).

Loving kindness, extending mercy and compassion, and walking humbly with God naturally leads us into service of others. This year, we are excited to launch a new Service Week from March 15-19, 2027. Throughout the week, our students will have intentional opportunities to learn about, participate in, and reflect on what it means to serve others in Christ's name.

The week will begin with special chapel services featuring guest speakers and testimonies from individuals involved in ministry and missions, helping students understand the heart behind Christian service. Beginning Wednesday, high school students will participate in hands-on service opportunities. Some students will travel on our international mission trip to Playa Azul in Costa Rica, while others will remain in the local area and partner with ministries such as Del Val Eagles, Greenhouse Project, and Chester Heights Camp Meeting to serve our surrounding community. 

Our long-term vision is for every TCA student to experience meaningful service opportunities that cultivate compassion, humility, and a lifelong commitment to serving Christ by serving others.
