Head of School Search Timeline

October '18

The TCA Board formed a Search Committee comprised of the 7 members of the Board.   The Committee then hired Graybeal & Associates an experienced Head of School search firm to assist with sourcing and interviewing candidates.  Finally, the Board appointed Terry Montgomery to serve as Interim Head of School while we search for the next leader that God is preparing for TCA.

November '18

Graybeal and Associates met twice with the Search Committee in November to learn about TCA, discuss the search process and begin to formulate the profile of the candidates for our new Head of School. We then sent out a survey to TCA faculty, staff and parents asking for their thoughts on the profile for our next Head of School.  Based on the meetings with Graybeal, and feedback from the TCA community we developed the “Head of School Profile and Application” document which is being used to advertise the position.

December '18

We have posted the Head of School profile on several Christian School Association job boards, and Graybeal has begun to reach out to their network of potential candidates as well.  Please be praying with the Search Committee about this process, and for a clear leading from God for our next Head of School.

Future Actions

While the search timeline is uncertain, our intended schedule is as follows:

  • In January and February, Graybeal will source and interview multiple candidates for our HOS position with the goal of presenting a short-list of candidates to the Search Committee in that time frame.
  • The Committee would like to determine the top 2 to 3 candidates to bring in for on-site interviews by the beginning of March with a goal of selecting and hiring our new HOS prior to the end of this school year.
