A Love for Learning Starts at The Christian Academy
Learning is brought to life as kindergarten teachers lead students through a colorful curriculum that sparks each child’s imagination and fosters a Christian worldview. Core subject areas include Bible, mathematics, reading, spelling, grammar, writing, social studies and science. Students also have weekly specials which include library time, art class, and music lessons. The structure of each day is developmentally appropriate and helps kindergartners thrive as they get used to a full school day.
AT TCA, YOUR CHILD WILL:
• Build strong academic foundations for success in future grades
• Discover their unique, God-given talents and strengths
• Make meaningful friendships in a close-knit community
• Be mentored by nurturing teachers and staff
• Develop an authentic zeal for learning that lasts long after kindergarten

Why Do Parents Love TCA?
“The teachers at TCA have given my child the confidence she needed to enter a new school environment. I value the Bible-based lessons students have in kindergarten. It is important for my daughter to get a great education, however, she is also learning to create her own special relationship with God. That is amazing to me!

Why Choose TCA for Kindergarten?
Spiritual Formation
Fostering spiritual growth is a fundamental component of a child’s development. Kindergartners at TCA are immersed in a Christian worldview through the practice of learning Christian values in a developmentally appropriate way. Students actively engage in sharing, cooperation, and teamwork in the classroom. They learn how to be honest in all of their interactions and respectful and compassionate toward their teachers and friends.
The TCA staff diligently lives out the values being taught in the classroom and actively partners with families in the spiritual growth of its students.
Whole-Child Education
Our program is designed to develop the whole child in a safe, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating Christ-centered environment. Opportunities for learning are intended to develop readiness for first grade, with mindfulness that children learn best through active involvement in age-appropriate activities.
Kindergarten students are naturally curious and ready to explore, play, and grow. We make the most of this time by taking every opportunity to foster development — cognitively, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Parents enjoy knowing TCA is an extension of their home — a warm and secure environment where students begin to develop their love for friends, teachers, and most importantly, God.
Engaging Experiences
Every day is an adventure for kindergartners. In addition to the hands-on activities they take part in each day on our PK-12 campus, students enjoy several field trips and special events. These include a farm trip in the fall, a theatrical performance of Charlotte’s Web, and a visit to the zoo. A few of our kindergartners’ favorite events include a Thanksgiving mini feast, a Christmas story performance, and a Mother’s Day Tea. It’s an exciting year filled with new experiences, and we love seeing the joy on our students’ faces.
