Summer Camp FAQs

How many weeks of camp will be offered?

  • TCA Summer Camps will offer 8 camps over the course of 8 weeks this summer!
    • Each summer camp will run Monday – Friday!

Is each week different? Are there themed-weeks?

  1. Happy Campers: June 22-26
    • Get ready for a fun-filled week! Our campers will learn what its like to be a true camper with tent-building exercises, s’mores, campfires and learning about God’s creation.
      • Field Trip: Tyler Arboretum (Media, PA)
      • Community Event: Family Camp Fire, Friday June 19th: 6:15pm – 7:30pm
  2. Dive In!: June 29-3
    • Warning! Splash Zone! Camp will be about all things water this week. Campers will experience water play, visit the aquarium and splash in art-related activities.
      • Field Trip: Adventure Aquarium (Camden, NJ)
  3. Bible Heroes: July 6-10
    • This week our focus will be different Bible heroes! Campers will participate in skits and share stories about their current life heroes.
      • Field Trip: Delaware Children’s Museum (Wilmington, DE)
  4. Sports Week: July 13-17
    • Campers will have numerous opportunities to learn skills in basketball, soccer and baseball, get ready for in-house tournaments! We will exercise our gross and fine motor skills while enjoying sports and games designed to build concentration, strength, speed, and skill.
      • Field Trip: Get Air Trampoline Park (King of Prussia, PA)
  5. Experiments in Faith: July 20-24
    • We are going to test our faith by conducting numerous experiments. Get your goggles ready, we hypothesize that this week is going to be a hit!
      • Field Trip: Franklin Institute (Philadelphia, PA)
  6. Who’s Got Talent? & Master Chef: July 27-31
    • Who can win the week-long contest? Your child will have the opportunity to share their talents in the kitchen or on the stage, with the winner gets a prize at the end of the week!
      • Field Trip: Duck Donuts (West Chester, PA)
      • Community Event: Ice Cream Party @ Lunch (Date TBA)
  7. STEM Week: August 3-7
    • Interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math? This week of awesome activities involves introducing campers to a unique variety of STEM projects, games, and challenges. Activities to stimulate the mind and spark curiosity will vary but promise to encourage engagement and the imagination of every camper. Campers will have a great time using Legos for our BIBLE Bricks competition.
      • Field Trip: The Academy of Natural Sciences (Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA)
  8. Olympic Games: August 10-14
    • We will close out our final session with Olympic-inspired games. The students will engage in teamwork and improving social skills by working together. This week will include Minute to Win it challenges.
      • Field Trip: Crayola Experience (Easton, PA)
      • Community Event: Pizza Party for Campers/Staff (Day TBA)

What ages are camps for?

Camps will each have two distinct age groups*:

  • Kindergarten -2nd grade
  • 3rd – 5th Grade

*These age groups are based off the camper’s grade during the 2019-2020 school year.

What time does camp begin and end each day?

Camp will run from 8:00am – 3:30pm.

*An extended care option will be available to parents from 3:30-6:00pm*

How much does camp cost?

  • Daily drop-in rate: TBA
    • Daily drop in care can be provided if the Summer Camps Director is given a one-week notice, on field trip days daily drop in will not be available, when you place your inquiry with the director please notify us of your requested dates and we will do our best to accommodate your drop-in requests!
  • Weekly drop-in rate: TBA
    • Here at TCA Summer Camp you have the flexibility to choose which weeks you would like your child to attend! Registering for a week helps us keep accurate tallies for accommodating field trip and other important camp logistics!
  • Full summer camp enrollment: TBA
