Deb Dutton
PK-12 Principal, Elementary Lead
I have a long history with TCA where I have been a student, a parent, a teacher and now an administrator. I have had the privilege of seeing TCA from many angles which has only deepened my love for the school community. I graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Elementary Education and received a Master degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Cairn University. I taught first grade before my husband and I started our family. I chose to stay home and with my four children until my youngest son was ready to come to school. I was excited to return to TCA as a middle school teacher. Coming to TCA each day brings joy to my life through the daily interactions and relationships with the students and my colleagues. I love the freedom to share God’s truths openly with the students and pray for them daily. While I enjoy reading on the beach, I also love to spend time with my family at our cabin in Potter County. I am a hometown girl when it comes to sports as I love watching the Eagles, Sixers and Phillies! In my role now as the elementary principal, it’s exciting to watch the growth that happens as the students embrace the truths they are being taught in the classrooms. I believe TCA creates an environment where all students can find value in the gifts God has blessed them with and I am grateful to be a part of that process.

Tracey Pritchard
Head of School
It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Head of School at The Christian Academy. I attended The Christian Academy as a student for 12 years and I don’t know where I would be today without the influence of the Christian teachers, friends, and families that poured into me as I was growing up. I have a varied professional background as a teacher, administrator, school counselor, board member, college professor, college administrator, and head of school. My husband is an assistant athletic director, P.E. teacher, and a head football coach. We have two children. Our oldest son is 25 and is an engineer. He is married and his wife is a teacher in our preschool program at TCA. Our youngest son is 24 and is in the production industry. We have three dogs Lexey, Gracey, and Bailey, and I would have many more if my husband didn’t put a moratorium on the dog acquiring activities. I love animals (especially dogs), the beach, reading, watching TV, hanging out with friends, and pre-COVID, we loved to cruise (yes, on a boat). I am grateful to be serving the families and students at TCA.

LaWanda Swan
Director of Student Services and Professional School Counselor
I attended TCA from the 1st-12th grade. I have served as a Board of Trustees Member and now have the privilege to serve as the Director of Student Services as well as the School Counselor. I am grateful to The Lord for this full circle experience after being in the education field for almost 15 years. To encourage others in their God given abilities and giftings and to help them navigate the obstacles of life is one of my passions. I have served in many ministry capacities including, preaching and teaching the Word of God, church planting, pastoring, hosting a radio show, and singing on various Praise Teams. I am married to Darryl, and together we have 6 children, one son-in-law, 3 granddaughters and one dog, Browneye. With my husband, I have been blessed to be an entrepreneur and have several businesses. We are licensed in the financial services industry and love helping people change their personal economies for the better. I enjoy watching sports, especially football; and yes, my team is the Philadelphia Eagles. Fly Eagles Fly! Almost daily, you can find me drinking a hot cup of tea and reading. I love meeting The Lord near the water, fall colors, butterflies, hearts, music and singing. I thank God for His faithfulness!!

Jon Thompson
Director of Advancement
I’m extremely grateful that my parents recognized the value of a Christian education and made sacrifices to send me to TCA from the time I was in Kindergarten. Following my time at TCA, I went to Eastern University and after graduation I found my way back to TCA in short order. I’ve been working here since 2002 in a variety of positions, and currently I’m serving as the Academic Advisor and Director of Development. I love sports of any kind and currently am coaching the middle school boy’s soccer and the varsity boy’s baseball teams. While a student at TCA, I met my wife Jessica, and we have now have two sons who both attend TCA. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at jthompson@tca-pa.org if there’s anything I can help you with.
