Jon Thompson

Director of Development and Academic Advising

I’m extremely grateful that my parents recognized the value of a Christian education and made sacrifices to send me to TCA from the time I was in Kindergarten. Following my time at TCA, I went to Eastern University and after graduation I found my way back to TCA in short order. I’ve been working here since 2002 in a variety of positions, and currently I’m serving as the Academic Advisor and Director of Development. I love sports of any kind and currently am coaching the middle school boy’s soccer and the varsity boy’s baseball teams. While a student at TCA, I met my wife Jessica, and we have now have two sons. Our oldest son just started kindergarten here at TCA this fall and in a couple years, both boys will Lord willing be here. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at jthompson@tca-pa.org if there’s anything I can help you with.

Christine Uzele

6-12th Grade Art Teacher

I can’t believe this will be my 10th year teaching art at TCA! Art has always been a part of my life since I was two years old doodling on my Mom’s bulletin at church. I received my degree in art at the University of Delaware and now painting and drawing and sharing my art as a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is what I do. While I was on a missions trip in Kenya I met my wonderful husband Shem and we wrote letters back and forth for 2 1/2 years before we got married 27 years ago! We have 3 amazing children and live in Wilmington Delaware. I love teaching art and I love my family, but most of all I love Jesus!

Debbie Wilt

Elementary School Faculty

My name is Debbie Wilt and this is my twenty ninth year teaching Kindergarten at TCA. I came to TCA in the 6th grade and I became a Christian during a chapel program here. After graduating College,I came back to my alma mater and began teaching here. After meeting my husband through a school parent we married and moved out of the area. When we returned to the area we began our family and I stayed home with them. When it was time for them to start school we naturally looked into TCA. I also thought it might be a good time for me to start teaching again. I was hired as one of the Kindergarten teachers and have been here ever since. Both of our children graduated from TCA and are now married and have blessed my husband and I with 2 beautiful granddaughters. As you can see The Christian Academy has been an important part of my life. God certainly had a plan for a young 6th grader.

We are offering two opportunities to come and see what TCA is all about during the month of March.  On Friday, March 12th from 9-12 AM, we will be running our next First Look Friday.  This is a great opportunity to see firsthand what TCA has to offer by touring our facilities with a student ambassador, meeting our staff, and receiving some TCA swag!!  Then on Tuesday, March 16th from 5 to 7 PM, we will be having a Pre-School Open House.  You can come in for an hour and meet our teachers, see our classrooms and learn about what our Pre-School program has to offer.

Registration is required and space is limited.
