The question is often asked,
“What is Annual Giving and what does it accomplish?”
The answer is straightforward. Because tuition does not cover the annual operating expenses of the Academy (now over $3,400,000), TCA depends each year, as do all independent schools, on tax-deductible gifts contributed to Annual Giving by alumni/ae, parents (of current students and graduates), grandparents, faculty and friends to help meet these expenses. Funds raised for Annual Giving account for approximately 6% of the school’s total income and are immediately spendable.
The success of Annual Giving is absolutely vital to keep TCA at the forefront of Christian education. From competitive faculty salaries, to financial assistance, support for arts and athletic programs, and maintenance of facilities and grounds, the resources provided by Annual Giving help ensure the tradition of excellence that the Lord has bless us with.
While unrestricted gifts (Annual Fund) provide the most flexibility, donors to Annual Giving now have the option of designating their gifts – up to budgeted amounts – to any opportunity in the catalog of the Development Directory.
